Her main focus lies on the cooperation with renowned orchestras like the bavarian state orchestra in Munich, the concert hall orchestra in Berlin, the symphony orchestra of the SWR, the state orchestra of Karlsruhe, i.a. in the area of contemporary music. She regularly works with the Ensemble Modern, Klangforum Wien, Musikfabrik NRW, KNM Berlin, Ensemble Adapter, Camerata Variabile Basel and the Meitar Tel Aviv. Dealing with her instrument, she especially focused on new techniques, and her work with different composers concerning the transposition and notation of musical ideas specifically for oboe, led her to explore music from earlier centuries played on contemporary instruments.

She focused on the area of historical performance practice i.a. through extraordinary ensembles for old music like the Freiburger Barock Orchestra, Academy for old music in Berlin, Capella Colloniesis, the Lattencompagney Berlin, Concerto Brandenburg, Sinfonia Amadei and others.

In 2012 she took part in initiating the founding of the Ensemble ARIS & AULIS, to show her interest in old and new music, working with likeminded musicians and composers and arranging different projects. Since 2011, she teaches historical performance practice and baroque-oboe, such as new musical techniques for oboe at the academy “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin.

Susanne Stock (*1980) was born in Dessau where she received her first accordion lessons. From 1996-2000 she studied at the Musikgymnasium Schloss Belvedere in Weimar with professor Ivan Koval. From 2005-2008 she studied at the University of the Arts Bremen with Margit Kern.
In 2005, Stock started teaching at several music schools in Berlin and Brandenburg. She is holding a lectureship at the University Potsdam since 2011.
Her work as a soloist and chamber musician concentrates mainly on contemporary music. She is also a member of “Courage – Dresdner Ensemble for contemporary music”.

Intensive cooperations with composers like Helmut Oehring, Annette Schlünz, Benjamin Schweitzer, Samir Odeh-Tamimi and Ali Gorji, resulted in many solo as well as chambermusical pieces, which were created and premiered.
